MPB Commodities Brokerage is Hiring an Assistant Near Savannah, GA

MPB Commodities, a dynamic and growing commodity brokerage firm is seeking an assistant to join its team in Savannah, GA. The assistant is responsible for handling office-related functions, and ensuring an efficient office atmosphere. He/she also provides administrative support including document management to the broker and supply chain staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and entry of contracts, shipment data and invoices into customer account management system as assigned
  • Help plan travel itineraries, execute bookings and follow through completion to expense reporting and documentation
  • Receptionist duties such as answering phones, accepting packages and managing visitors.
  • Provides administrative support, management and organization for special projects
  • Manage overall office common areas for organization and re-stocking
  • Manage budget, source items and receive/organize within the identified budget for the kitchen (snacks, drinks) and office supplies on an ongoing basis
  • Manage company promotional items and restocking
  • Liaison with IT support staff to ensure smooth overall operations including usage of Conference Room IT equipment (assist to start-up meetings), VOIP phone system operation, and management of IT equipment (including wireless) replenished on regular cycles
  • Management of vendor related services such as Comcast, cleaning services, shredding services, janitorial services, Verizon, and software as a service accounts (Office 365, Adobe, Concur, etc.)

Successful candidates must be highly dependable, resourceful, work accurately and independently and with an ability to anticipate, initiate and follow through with all work requirements, and occasionally be able to work extended hours as needed. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism, a high level of discretion and confidentiality, the ability to interact with internal and external customers, be able to organize and prioritize tasks with minimum supervision, and possess strong office management and office technology skills.

Basic Qualifications:

· High School Degree

· Basic skills within MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other pertinent computer skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in fast paced, dynamic environment
